I’m not sure why, but I’ve been hesitant to jump on the digital bandwagon. I purchased Stampin’Up!’s “My Digital Studio” when it was first released a couple years ago, but I really haven’t done much with it. Call me old fashion, but I love the look and feel of acutal “hand-made” cards and scrapbook pages. There’s just something special and unique about them!

But it is 2012, and we live in a digital world. So I stepped outside of my comfort zone last night and downloaded the FREE 30-day trail of My Digital Studio (MDS). I spent a couple of hours experiementing with the program, and I can honestly say it was very user friendly!!! Sure, it took me a little bit to get acquainted with the different tools and options, but once I did, it was SUPER easy to create.

Two weeks ago, we took a family vacation to Minnesota to celebrate my grandma’s 92nd birthday. It was a wonderful weekend reunion not only with my family, but also aunts, uncles, and cousins. Many pictures were taken, and I figured this was the perfect opportunity to test out my digital scrapbooking skills!

When you begin a new project in MDS, you can choose to start from scratch (design your own page), use photo templates, or import pictures into pre-designed layouts. I took the easy route and went for the pre-designed pages–and I’m sooo glad that I did!!! All I had to do was select a picture from my camera, drag it over to the page and drop it! No cropping, no cutting, no worries!
