I’m loving this card! Totally CASED from SU demonstrator, Anne Marie Hile. Just one of the cards my Stamp Club members will be creating at this month’s class!
There’s a lot going on in this card–embossing folder, framelits, dsp, seam binding ribbon, sponging, dazzling details, and pearl jewels–whew! Did I forget to mention dimensionals (you know I can’t make a card without them-lol!) But I assure you it was not as overwhelming as it may seem. The Secret Garden bundle includes coordinating framelits, which are a huge time saver. No need for scissors– simply place the framelit over your stamped image, and run it through the big shot!
Using Anne’s card as my inspiration, I selected the Gumball Green dsp from the NEW Poetry Prints paper pack. I wasn’t sure what coordinating colors to use, so I reached for my trusty “Color Coach” (#121046)
The color coach is easy to overlook in the catalog, however, it’s one tool I could not live without! EVERY color is represnted in a full size true-to-color swatch. But wait, it gets even better! On the back of each color card is a list of not one, but two examples of 3-color combinations.
So when I looked at the Gumball Green color card, I knew exactly which colors to use: Melon Mambo and Marina Mist. I would have never thought to use those colors together!
Your Turn: So what do you think? What colors would you like to try with this card??? Bold Brights, Soft Subtle Pastels, Rich Regals, Neutrals???
