Rain Rain Go Away

Unless you have a super cute pair of rain boots!

One of the cards from this month’s stamp club, I had fun combining different elements to complete the theme for this card. I had seen several variations from the St. Louis Regional event and Pinterest, and lets just say the possibilities are endless!

1) I used the masking technique to stamp the pair of boots (Stamp the full boot image on your card stock. Stamp another boot on a piece of scrap paper and cut it out. Place the scrap boot over your stamped image on your card stock. This serves as your mask and will appear that the 2nd boot is behind. Pretty neat, huh!) (Bootiful Occasions Stamp Set)
2) couldn’t resist using the Cloudy Day embossing folder for the sky (#127022)
3) Designer series paper from the Sunshine & Sprinkles suite (#126922)
4) Delicate Details Lace Tape is self-adhesive and is a great alternative to the scallop border punch. (#130966)
5) leftover Sale-a-Bration ribbon in Pacific Point.
6) But my favorite detail was using Crystal Effects (#101055) on the boots to make them feel and look like rain boots! Takes a little while to dry, but so worth it (in my opinion) 🙂

Tonight is my All-Occasions Stamp-a-Stack, so I’ll have plenty of ideas to share with you this week!
Make today a Great Day!

  1. Lauren, I saw the CUTEST rain boots at HyVee in the floral dept. yesterday!  There were regular rainboots and cowboy rain boots!  Hope you get to see them!
