Start the New Year with a Stash of Birthday Cards!
I’m hosting a Birthday Bright Kit Class on Saturday, January 21st from 2-4pm and I would LOVE for you to stamp with me 🙂 TODAY is the last day to register (and there are only 3 spots left!!!) Click HERE for details
Kit comes with all supplies to create 12 full cards and envelopes (4 each of 3 designs) and 12 gift tags (4 each of 3 designs). Please bring your own snail adhesive.
I’ll provide the coordinating Birthday Bright stamp set for you to use in class, or you can add it to your kit and earn a FREE Sale-a-Bration item!
The bright storage box keeps your cards organized so you can easily find then when you need it.
GIFT IDEA: Place the completed cards and tags in the box and give it as a gift to someone who would LOVE to send hand-stamped birthday cards!
BONUS: Receive a printout with additional sample ideas to turn those gift tags into cards!
Here are 3 of my cards that I “stepped-up” by using the Big Shot and Embossing Folders to add some texture and design to the white cardstock 🙂
Sale-A-Bration is a FANTASTIC time to join our Stampin’ Up! Family. My Crafty Crew downline consists of hobby-demonstrators (who enjoy a 20-25% discount on all of their orders) and business-builders (who earn income by hosting one or more events per month).
For only $99, you’ll select up to $125 worth of products from ANY of the catalogs. BONUS: select 2 FREE stamp sets of your choice! (offer ends March 31st!!!)
You have absolutely NOTHING to lose! Click HEREto learn more.
If you are looking to step-up your card, try the Double Slider technique! I found a fabulous video tutorial from SU Demonstrator Julie Davison–Thanks Julie!!! She also includes a pdf with written instructions and measurements.
So why is it called a Double Slider??? Pull on the string and see what happens 🙂
Pretty neat, huh– It’s like a magic trick in a card!!! The top and bottom panels slide out to reveal your message
I hope you’re not tired of the NEW “Best Year Ever” Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper. Not only do I LOVE the fun colors and designs, but I also LOVE that it’s just one of the many FREE items you can select from the 2015 Sale a Bration Catalog!
Paired with the “Big News” stamp set, this clean and simple layout makes quick cards in no time!
Here’s one of the cards from this month’s Stamp Club. I absolutely Love Love Love the NEW Photopolymer Stamp Set Flower Patch and coordinating Flower Fair Big Shot Dies! (ps..you can save 15% with the bundle!) This card idea was cased from SU Demo Jen Arkfeld–thanks for the inspiration Jen!
I snailed a piece of very vanilla card stock behind the new Typset Designer Series Paper before adding the dimensionals. I also added the 2013-15 In Color Sequin Assortment as flower centers. I found mini glue dots to be a perfect fit!
Here’s a similar version, but without the paper tear. You can use your bone folder to round the petals–and don’t forget the dimensionals behind your flowers 🙂
Stamps: Flower Patch
Ink: Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral, Wild Wasabi, Garden Green, Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight
Paper: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Typeset dsp
Etc: Big Shot, Flower Fair die cuts, dimensionals, very vanilla seam binding, linen thread
Side Note: Today is the 10th, which means if you want to receive July’s Paper Pumpkin Kit, you need to be signed up by today! Kits ship around the 14th, so get ready for a crafting good time 🙂
I love making cards, I’m just not the best at actually sending them. I would love to tell you that I have 6 months worth of birthday cards already addressed, stamped and ready to be deposited in the mail perfectly timed to arrive on or just before the birthday. But I live in the real world, and as much as I would love to be that organized, it just doesn’t happen. If you are wanting to get a head start, or need some suggestions for card storage, check out my post from last year.
While we’re on the topic of birthdays, here’s another NEW stamp set from the NEW 2013-14 catalog that I LOVE! You may not have given it a lot of thought, but after you see some of the samples I’ve found, I have a feeling it will jump to the top of your ever-growing wish list 🙂

I love celebrating birthdays, but unfortunately I’m not very good at remembering them 😦
Here’s a quick card you can throw together at a moments notice! The candles are strips of designer series paper, and the candles……well, what do you think? First person to comment and tell me what I used to make the flame, will receive a set of three of these cards, absolutely free!
That’s right! The wing from the bird punch was the perfect “flame” for my candles.
