Double Slider with Sprinkles

If you are looking to step-up your card, try the Double Slider technique! I found a fabulous video tutorial from SU Demonstrator Julie Davison–Thanks Julie!!! She also includes a pdf with written instructions and measurements.

So why is it called a Double Slider??? Pull on the string and see what happens 🙂

Pretty neat, huh– It’s like a magic trick in a card!!! The top and bottom panels slide out to reveal your message

Typeset Flower Patch

Here’s one of the cards from this month’s Stamp Club. I absolutely Love Love Love the NEW Photopolymer Stamp Set Flower Patch and coordinating Flower Fair Big Shot Dies! (ps..you can save 15% with the bundle!)  This card idea was cased from SU Demo Jen Arkfeld–thanks for the inspiration Jen!

I snailed a piece of very vanilla card stock behind the new Typset Designer Series Paper before adding the dimensionals. I also added the 2013-15 In Color Sequin Assortment as flower centers. I found mini glue dots to be a perfect fit!

Here’s a similar version, but without the paper tear. You can use your bone folder to round the petals–and don’t forget the dimensionals behind your flowers 🙂

Birthday Sketches

I love making cards, I’m just not the best at actually sending them. I would love to tell you that I have 6 months worth of birthday cards already addressed, stamped and ready to be deposited in the mail perfectly timed to arrive on or just before the birthday. But I live in the real world, and as much as I would love to be that organized, it just doesn’t happen. If you are wanting to get a head start, or need some suggestions for card storage, check out my post from last year.

While we’re on the topic of birthdays, here’s another NEW stamp set from the NEW 2013-14 catalog that I LOVE! You may not have given it a lot of thought, but after you see some of the samples I’ve found, I have a feeling it will jump to the top of your ever-growing wish list 🙂

I love celebrating birthdays, but unfortunately I’m not very good at remembering them 😦
Here’s a quick card you can throw together at a moments notice! The candles are strips of designer series paper, and the candles……well, what do you think? First person to comment and tell me what I used to make the flame, will receive a set of three of these cards, absolutely free!

That’s right! The wing from the bird punch was the perfect “flame” for my candles.
