If you are looking to step-up your card, try the Double Slider technique! I found a fabulous video tutorial from SU Demonstrator Julie Davison–Thanks Julie!!! She also includes a pdf with written instructions and measurements.
So why is it called a Double Slider??? Pull on the string and see what happens 🙂
Pretty neat, huh– It’s like a magic trick in a card!!! The top and bottom panels slide out to reveal your message
Have you seen the NEW Gift Bag Punch Board??? It’s pretty amazing–just saying!!! The punch board comes with printed directions, and after watching a quick video tutorial I jumped right in! Once you get the hang of it, assembly is a breeze.
Here’s the bag we created at this month’s Stamp Club!
Lots of NEW products from the 2015-16 Catalog featured in this project.
Designer Series Paper to create the bag: 6″ x 12″
Banner Layers: 2″ strip and 1-1/2″ strips (trim to desired length AFTER punching them with the Triple Banner Punch)
Scrap pieces of whisper white and Envelope Paper for the tag
I hope you’re not tired of the NEW “Best Year Ever” Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper. Not only do I LOVE the fun colors and designs, but I also LOVE that it’s just one of the many FREE items you can select from the 2015 Sale a Bration Catalog!
Paired with the “Big News” stamp set, this clean and simple layout makes quick cards in no time!
I cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about our NEW 3/8″ Satin Stiched Ribbon — It’s luscious!!!! So soft, with subtle line detail. LOVE it!!!!! I layered the NEW Moonlight Designer Series Paper for the butterflies to accent this clean and simple card. The Satin Stitched ribbon pulls it all together (literally, lol!)
Happy Valentines Day!!! Today’s card is a treat from stamp club member Theresa Carver. She utilized several techniques, (background stamping, sponging, dry embossing, corner rounding, dsp, fancy fold, etc) all of which flow together flawlessly!
To create this fold, simple score the long side of your card base at 2-3/4 (and fold it back to create the V)
Another great element is the ribbon detail. Try using Stampin’Up! Jumbo Sticky Rounds (#127852) as an easy way to layer your ribbon. They are pre-cut circles made from the sticky strip adhesive–so you know they are super sticky and super secure. you wont have to worry about sagging ribbon 🙂
Thanks for the inspiration, Theresa! Have a Fabulous Day &Happy Stamping!
